Border Collies and Colour

Black and White is the most common  colour of the Border Collie. Tambovale King Oth Road, Morgan desplays the classic markings desired for the show ring.

The  Brown or Chocolate and White Border Collie.
Oodnadatta Supa Shake, Opal is a perfect example of the colour we call Chocolate and White.  Opal is a Polish Champion and is the daughter of Tambovale Supa Nova, "Finnighan" From Oodnadatta Caprice.  She is currently competing in obedience.  Thankyou to Ewa Lukasic for promoting one of Finns daughters so well.  You make us proud.

Tambovale Supa Nova, "Finnighan" is the sire of the chocolate and white bitch Pl Ch Oodnadatta Supa Shake, "Opal".
Border Collies come in several different colours combinations.  Red and White, which is a golden colour. Blue and White, ranging from a steel grey to a soft grey. Tri Colour which is a combintation of Tan and Black and White and the Blue Merle which is quite different with the coat colour appearing motley in design.  Any colour combination other than black and white is classed as a dilute gene.

The Tri Colour, Black Tan and White.  This dog is not of my breeding.  The following coloured dogs are only for example.  And are the variation of colours recognised by the Border Collie Breed Standard

The Chocolate and White.

The Blue and White.  Which comes in different shades of Blue (grey)
